1. Adding a new extension to RingCentral
a. Log in to RingCentral at https://service.ringcentral.com using the correct credentials
b. Navigate to the Users tab and then Unassigned extensions sub-tab, click Add User
c. Under the unassigned extensions, select an available extension and enter the new user's name and email address.
d. Next you need to activate the new account (if itβs another user, advised the user to activate his/her account)
2. Provision the new phone
a. Access the user's account page and go to Phones & Numbers> go to Phones > then Add Phone
b. Select Domestic or International depending on your location.
c. Choose a device from the list or select Other.
d. If you selected Other, make sure to enter the correct device's make and model.
e. Click Next.
f. Review the entries and tick the acknowledgement box to confirm
.
3. Add the user to the automatic call recording list
a. Go to the Phone System tab and then Auto-Receptionist.
b. Under Call Recording > Automatic Call Recording, click Edit on Extensions to Record.
c. Add the new user to the list and save.

4. Add the user to Groups:
a. Navigate to Users.
b. Select the user you want to add to groups.
c. Click Edit.
d. Scroll down to Groups.
e. Check the boxes next to the groups you want to add the user to
f. Once done, click Save

5. Grant Access to Necessary Users
a. Go to the accounts of users requiring access (e.g., Adco and Tech Lines).
b. Navigate to Phones & Numbers > Phones > Presence.
c. Go to Permissions and add the new user. Save.
6. Set Up New Phone Presence Access:
a. Go to the new user's account page, navigate to Phones & Numbers > Phones > Presence.
b. Under Appearance, ensure 'Enable me to pick up a monitored line on hold' is enabled.
c. Select the appropriate user for each line
d. Under Permissions, ensure 'Allow other users to see my Presence status' is ON.
e. Select the users who can see the new user's Presence status.
7. Lastly, finalize the Settings by Resyncing the phone and check it comes back online.
