How to Update Column Properties

Some common errors when syncing between Smartsheet and Procore are due to columns not in the correct format or properties. When you encounter failed connections, we recommend that you check the error message ( in View Sync tab) or you can also identify this when you tried matching columns but the drop down option/s are not limited or not correct).

In order to fix that, you need to edit or update your Smartsheet column properties.

To update column properties in Smartsheet, you need to follow these steps:

1. Access the Column Menu: Hover your pointer over the column header of the column you want to update. Then select the Column Menu (represented by an icon with three vertical dots).

2. Edit Column Properties

• Choose 'Edit Column Properties' from the menu.
• In the Column Properties window, you can modify various aspects of the column, such as the column name and type (e.g., Text/Number, Dropdown List, Date, Checkbox, etc.).

3. After making the necessary changes, select 'OK' to apply the updates to your column.
