Through the use of Spaces, Elate makes sharing easy and transparent.
Elate Spaces are similar to the concept of cloud-based folders. Digital assets can be associated to a Space and anyone with permission for that Space will be able to access its contents.
The actual files live in your respective storage service(s). Elate creates a map, works with the storage system to control permissions and uses metadata to ensure desired actions are properly actioned.
Spaces are a fundamental component in Elate and are required for almost any action. A Space can be created for one or more users and are used to group items together for a given purpose. Once an item is associated with a Space anyone with access to the space may be able to collaborate on it.
Spaces can be created for short term purposes such as resolving a customer support issue or long term purposes like Human Resources disseminating company documents.
